At the outset of the Zhoushan Puzhen NARADA Resort project, the Yatai design team visited the site multiple times, immersing themselves in the coastal atmosphere and Zen-like tranquility of the East China Sea. They observed how light moved throughout the day, studied the guest journey from lobby to guestroom, and considered how people interact with furniture while resting, reading, or working. Ultimately, the “Sea Rhyme, Zen Spirit” theme was born—its lines drawn from the gentle curves of ocean waves and the ethereal quality of Zen aesthetics; its materials chosen from warm solid wood, eco-friendly rattan, and textured stone. The furniture became an extension of the space’s ambiance, seamlessly integrated with the overall environment.

•Advancing with Time — Hotel furniture endures far harsher conditions than ordinary furniture. It must withstand constant use across hundreds of guestrooms, accommodate guests with different habits, and endure repeated contact with cleaning agents, luggage, and service carts. What Yatai pursues is furniture that remains functionally stable and aesthetically graceful five, even ten years later. This confidence stems from over two decades of industry experience, a profound understanding of material properties and structural mechanics, and an unwavering commitment to ergonomics.

•Ergonomic Precision — Sofa and seating design prioritizes two critical angles: a 125-degree backrest inclination that perfectly supports a weary traveler’s back without encouraging slouching; and a 25-degree armrest angle that allows arms to rest naturally while providing ample support, relaxing the shoulder and neck muscles. The refined combination of these two angles ensures sustained comfort during long periods of reading or rest. This is not merely ergonomic calculation—it is a deep understanding of human nature. Every millimeter and every degree represents a silent dialogue between designer and user.

•Zhoushan Puzhen NARADA Resort: Centered on the “Sea Rhyme, Zen Spirit” theme, furniture underwent special anti-moisture and anti-salt treatment to ensure durability in the coastal environment, providing a turnkey delivery service.

•Taiyuan Jiurun Wyndham Hotel: Combining modern design with local Taiyuan culture, a combination of fixed and movable furniture conveys a luxurious experience, establishing the hotel as a new city landmark.

Climate-Adaptive Craftsmanship: Triple Drying for Diverse Climates

Recognizing the impact of regional climate variations on solid wood furniture, Yatai has established a systematic triple-drying process to manage wood moisture content from raw material to finished product.

•First Stage: Wood Drying — Ensuring stable moisture content from the outset. All incoming wood is processed in electric-heated drying kilns, strictly controlling moisture content within the optimal range of 8%–12%, laying the foundation for subsequent processing.

•Second Stage: Pest Prevention — For export orders and specific projects, we implement internationally recognized heat treatment standards: the wood core temperature must reach 56°C and be maintained for at least 30 minutes, effectively eliminating any harmful organisms that may be present, ensuring compliance with quarantine requirements across different global regions.

•Third Stage: Finished Product Dehumidification — This is Yatai’s unique refinement process. After assembly, before the coating process, the product is placed in a specialized dehumidification chamber for secondary moisture reduction, further stabilizing the wood’s moisture content and balancing it with the intended usage environment. Only then does it proceed to sanding and painting. This process fundamentally prevents issues like cracking or warping caused by moisture content fluctuations during use.

Through this triple-drying process, Yatai ensures that hotel furniture maintains exceptional and consistent quality across diverse global climates.

Returning to nature and prioritizing health are critical issues for the furniture industry today. Yatai regards environmental protection as a fundamental responsibility for industry practitioners. We implement strict controls at every stage—from material procurement and production to installation and maintenance—ensuring all primary and auxiliary materials meet or exceed national environmental standards.

We are acutely aware that excessive levels of harmful substances like formaldehyde and benzene can cause irreversible harm to human health. Therefore, Yatai solemnly commits to never using any raw materials that fail to meet environmental standards. The company has achieved ISO14001 Environmental Management System certification, CQC China Environmental Product Certification, and China Environmental Labeling (Ten Rings) certification. All products have passed rigorous testing by authorized institutions.
